Prayer for the Days That Feel Heavy
Lord, here I am.
Not polished. Not strong. Not sure what the next step should look like.
Just me — with my quiet worries, my tired thoughts, and the places inside I’m still trying to understand.
You know how my heart can feel full and empty at the same time.
You know the weight I carry in silence,
and the hopes I don’t dare speak aloud yet.
So I come to You, not to impress You,
but to be held by You.
Teach me again what it means to rest in Your love.
To stop fighting battles that are not mine to win.
To stop reaching for control when You are asking me to trust.
To stop measuring myself by what I accomplish,
and remember that I am already Yours.
Lord, breathe peace into the corners of me that feel anxious.
Let Your presence settle like warm light across the rooms of my soul.
Make space inside me for quiet.
For gentleness.
For hope to begin again.
When the road feels unclear, steady my steps.
When my courage feels small, speak strength into my spirit.
When my faith feels fragile, remind me that even a whisper of belief is enough for You to work with.
You do not ask me to be perfect.
You simply ask me to stay close.
So I stay here.
With You.
Even in this moment that feels undone.
Even in the uncertainty.
Even when I cannot see what tomorrow holds.
I place the weight of today in Your hands.
I place the unknown of tomorrow in Your care.
I place my heart in the safety of Your love.
Hold me.
Guide me.
Carry me, if needed.
For I am Yours, Lord.
Always.
And You are faithful.
Amen.
