Evening Rest Prayer

Lord, I bring to You the weight I cannot name.

You know the places inside me that ache,

the thoughts that circle and refuse to quiet,

the memories that still need healing.

Teach my heart to unclench.

Let Your peace settle like warm light over water.

Lay Your hand on the parts of me still trembling.

I rest in You, not because I am strong,

but because You are gentle.

Be the Keeper of my night,

and the Giver of my morning.
